Who we are: A non-profit organization of people who believe in the importance of libraries as a community resource, who support the growth of services at the Newark Free Library and who encourage their use.
What we do:
Provide prizes for children in our Summer Reading Program
Provide and maintain all of the artwork (posters, paintings, etc.)
Provide and maintain the copiers for use by library patrons
Provide and maintain the piano for musical programs at the library
Fund a scholarship for Delawareans working towards a degree in
library science
Fund the John Wriston Essay Scholarship for high school juniors and seniors
Fund books for book groups
Hold a Thank You breakfast for library volunteers and supporters
Give away children's books at Newark Night and Community Day
Sponsor a community food drive
Advocate for funding and resources for our library
