The Newark Free Library is always busy and our books see a lot of use.  If a book is not put back in it's corect place, it can be lost for a very long time.

An Adopt a Shelf volunteer is responsible for straightening, organizing, and maintaining a designated section of the library.

YOU can make it possible for our patrons to find the books they are looking for.

An Adopt a Shelf Volunteer Needs:

• To have a love of books
• Be detail oriented
• Be able to commit at least 1 hour a week.  We are flexible, come in whenever we are open
• Maintain his/her section by keeping it in numerical and alphabetical order.
• Not to worry - we will train you.
